The Crew

Season 1 of a YouTube film series about PEARL iZUMi’s Crew

PEARL iZumi’s ambassadors embody the mission of the brand.

Dear Josh, Andrew, and PI,

One of the biggest takeaways from the ambassador weekend is the stories of every member selected to join The Crew.

As the Miles of Portraits Instagram series on PEARL iZUMi has shown, we showcase many walks of life:

  • Riding later in life and wanting more women to shred with

  • Overcoming the challenges of diagnosis - deaf, diabetes, traumatic brain injury, blood conditions, heart conditions, and more unknown

  • Road bike, mountain bike, touring bike, tri bike - you name it

  • Camping for the first time or mountain biking for the first time

I’d like to begin a YouTube film series called “The Crew” that releases episodes highlighting these stories.

PEARL iZUMi has already begun this work with The Curious - From TRI to MTB and the BUILT series. We can continue telling the stories that our community creates while riding bikes.

Erik Douds is a trusted brand

I have created content for brands like yours, Pearl iZUMi, in the series Miles of Portraits: Alaska.

My voice is also echoed as a global ambassador for the largest online diabetes community - Beyond Type 1.

In addition, I have spoken at 13 REI locations, Arc’Teryx SoHo with Creative Mornings, American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure,  and regularly honored as the featured rider with groups like JDRF.

This experience and network will be brought to every project I take on.

joining the pearl izumi film crew

One of my goals for 2020 is to truly feel part of the filmmaking crew for PEARL iZUMi.

This is my dream.

I didn’t study film in school and currently take photographs with a busted up Nikon D5300 purchased for my sister’s wedding - it has fallen one too many times out of my handlebar bag.

Having Miles of Portraits represented and to produce a web series for your brand would be a challenge and an honor to tackle next year.
